Blitzkrieg Funk consists of two German nationalists, Hans Wilhelm and Bastian von Bismarck. The two of them are looking to bring back pride to the fatherland, through dominating professional wrestling’s tag team division in America. The team’s vendetta for American wrestling fans stems back to the early 40s when the fans made a mockery of Bastian’s grandfather, Otto, a prominent wrestler of the day. The Von Bismarck family and Germany to this day still carry the heavy burden of shame on their shoulders for the portrayal their hero fell victim to by the Americans. They called Otto a “Nazi,” but that’s all relative according to Bastian who describes the Second World War as “small isolated events which broke out over Europe that can’t be blamed on any specific nation or people, especially the proud people of Deutschland.”

 

The team, although eccentric, are widely considered the most destructive in Europe and easily trounced their opponents in the Deutsch Wrestling Bundesliga and Champions Wrestling League. The CWL, formerly an American promotion and home of Otto Von Bismarck, relocated to Europe in the early 2000s after various issues with owner Mr.Tort. While the team competed in the CWL they were able to defeat the prolific French champions, “Francophones Pamplemousse,” at CWL Revolution and capture the CWL Tag Team Championship. When the team lost their titles, they vowed to finally cross the ocean and complete their goal of domination amongst the tag team divisions of America.
